Day 1 - Calgary to Banff
Arrive in Calgary and transfer to the resort town of Banff. Overnight Banff.
Day 2 - Rocky Mountaineer
This morning board the sleek Rocky Mountaineer to begin your journey through the stunning Canadian Rockies as you head from Banff to Kamloops. Highlights of today’s trip include the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie. Overnight Kamloops. (B, L)
Day 3 - Kamloops to Vancouver
Your second day aboard the Rocky Mountaineer takes you deeper into incredible scenery en route to Vancouver. Highlights include the Thompson River and Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Once in Vancouver, check into your hotel where the remainder of the evening is at leisure. Overnight Vancouver. (B,L)
Day 4 - Explore Vancouver
Tour Vancouver on a San Francisco-style trolley on the Vancouver Hop-On, Hop-Off tour. Visit popular parts of the city including Stanley Park, Chinatown, Gastown and Granville Island. Overnight Vancouver.
Day 5 - Vancouver at Leisure
See Vancouver at your own pace. Spend the day shopping on Robson Street or visiting attractions like the Vancouver Art Gallery, which houses a multitude of unique exhibits year round. Overnight Vancouver.
Day 6 - Board the ms Zaandam
Board the ms Zaandam for your relaxing cruise through Alaska’s Inside Passage. With amenities like a spa and salon, the Pinnacle Grill, and a Culinary Arts Center-presented by Food & Wine Magazine, this cruise ship has something for every traveler. Overnight ship. (B,L,D)
Day 7 - Alaska’s Inside Passage
Spend the day at sea sailing through the breathtaking Inside Passage of Alaska. The scenery is remarkable, with forests and tumbling glaciers. Be on the lookout for whales or other aquatic life that are known to live in the region. Overnight ship. (B,L,D)
Day 8 - Ketchikan, Alaska
Ketchikan is the southernmost city in Alaska and the first port of call. During your visit, you may wish to visit to Creek Street, a wooden boardwalk featuring museums, galleries, restaurants, and popular local shops. Overnight ship. (B, L, D)
Day 9 - Juneau, Alaska
Today’s port of call is Juneau, Alaska’s capital city. It is home to the Juneau Icefield, a large ice mass encompassing more than 30 glaciers including the mighty Mendenhall Glacier. Browse the rustic local shops, or climb aboard the Mt. Roberts Tramway for dazzling views. Overnight ship. (B, L, D)
Day 10 - Skagway, Alaska
Spend the day in Skagway. Take your time and shop at stores such as the Trail Bench and Lynch & Kennedy's Dry Goods. Or stop at The Red Onion Saloon, a restaurant with a honky-tonk piano and costumed barmaids. Overnight Ship. (B,L,D)
Day 11 - Glacier Bay, Alaska
Today brings a visit to Glacier Bay, located in southeastern Alaska. Glacier Bay is famous for having the most actively calving tidewater glaciers in the world. The area has 16 of them, 12 of which reach shorelines and have calved to produce icebergs. Overnight ship. (B, L, D)
Day 12 - At Sea
Spend your last day of the cruise at sea. Stop in the Casino or take one last chance to soak in the striking scenery in the Crows Nest, a room that offers sweeping 270° views during the day. Overnight ship. (B, L, D)
Day 13 - Anchorage, Alaska
Disembark the ms Zaandam in historic Anchorage, Alaska. Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 14 - Denali National Park
Travel from Anchorage to Denali National Park aboard a luxury dome railcar. Upon your arrival check into your hotel and begin exploring this phenomenal National Park. Overnight Denali.
Day 15 - Denali to Fairbanks
Start your morning early on the Denali Natural History Tour. This tour takes you in search of caribou, Dall sheep, bear, moose and a view of Mt. McKinley. Later today, travel to Fairbanks by train. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 16 - Fairbank, Alaska
Your journey comes to an end today.
