Your tour will include visits to some of the premier wineries in this region, such as Mission Hill, Sumac Ridge, and Burrowing Owl.

Train Information
Day 1 Vancouver Arrival
Arrive and spend time exploring scenic Vancouver on your own. Overnight at
the luxurious and historic downtown hotel, The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
Day 2 Vancouver to Kamloops
Travel onboard the internationally renowned Rocky Mountaineer from the
coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's
interior. On today's journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from
the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river
canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to
the semi-arid desert of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters at
Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon, the steep slopes and rock sheds along the
Thompson River and Cisco Crossing, the longest single span bridge on the
Canadian National Railway line. Upon arrival at your overnight destination
of Kamloops, BC, you will be met by your Themed Experience Concierge and
transferred by private motorcoach to the South Thompson Inn & Conference
Centre, charming accommodations overlooking the South Thompson River.

Day 3 North Okanagan
After breakfast at your hotel, begin your day exploring North Okanagan's
wine country by private motorcoach. You will start at one of the oldest
wineries in the Okanagan, Gray Monk Estate Winery, where you will enjoy
a tour of the stunning facilities, a wine tasting, and a wine paired lunch.
Then explore one of the most unique wineries in the world, Summerhill
Pyramid Winery. At Summerhill, you will enjoy a tour of the facilities,
which include a one-of-a-kind pyramid used to age barrels and fi nished
wines. There will also be a tasting of the winery's premium varieties. From
Summerhill, travel to the iconic Mission Hill Family Estate winery to partake
in an introduction to the importance of viticulture in winemaking. Visit the
underground Bordeaux-style barrel cellars, and end your visit with a private
wine tasting complemented by a special food pairing. After Mission Hill, you
will be able to relax in your private motorcoach as you travel from the North
Okanagan to the South Okanagan region, giving you a preview of where
you will be touring tomorrow. Arrive at Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort & Spa,
your accommodation for two nights. This evening you will be treated to an
exclusive wine paired dinner at the resort. Overnight in Osoyoos. B, L, D.
Day 4 South Okanagan
After breakfast at your resort, enjoy a day touring the South Okanagan,
with a stop at Sumac Ridge Estate Winery. Start with a historical tour
of the vineyard and facilities, and meet winemaker Mark Wendenburg
for an intimate tasting of sparkling wine in the Riddling Cave, where he
will describe the secrets of how sparkling wine is made in the traditional
"Method Classique." Travel to the Naramata Bench region of BC and visit
Hillside Estate Winery, known for its beautiful timber frame architecture.
After tasting the winery's award-winning wines, you will be treated to a
delicious wine paired lunch in the restaurant, which offers stunning views of
the vineyards and Okanagan Lake. Following lunch, travel to Tinhorn Creek
Winery, a lovely property nestled in Oliver, BC, the Wine Capital of Canada.
Enjoy a tour of the facilities and a wine tasting. To top off a spectacular tour
of these Southern Okanagan wineries, enjoy a lovely food and wine paired
dinner at Nk'Mip Cellars winery. Overnight in Osoyoos. B, L, D.
Day 5 Free Day in Osoyoos
Today is at your leisure to appreciate the many facets of the Spirit Ridge
Vineyard Resort & Spa (not included): tour the Nk'Mip Cellars winery;
walk through the Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre, which celebrates the
desert habitat plus thousands of years of First Nations culture; play 9 holes
of golf at the Sonora Dunes Golf Course; or relax in the Sonora Desert
Spa. Or simply enjoy the desert weather while sitting poolside. In the
afternoon, travel by private motorcoach and take in one last view of the
breathtaking Okanagan scenery, as you travel north to Kamloops. Tonight's
accommodation, the South Thompson Inn & Conference Centre, will host a
specially created wine paired dinner. Overnight at South Thompson Inn &
Conference Centre. B, D.
Day 6 Kamloops to Banff
You will be transferred by private motorcoach to the Kamloops Station,
where you say goodbye to your Themed Experience Concierge and board
the Rocky Mountaineer to Banff, Alberta. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast, plus
a lunch. You will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across
ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through
the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian
Rockies. Today's highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of
the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the dramatic climb over Rogers
Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the stunning
glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your rail journey
ends in the resort town of Banff early this evening. Your accommodation for
the next two nights is at one of Canada's most famous hotels, The Fairmont
Springs. Overnight in Banff. B, L.
Day 7 Free Day in Banff
A free day to experience the delights of this resort town nestled in the
Rocky Mountains. Enjoy one of two complimentary activity choices - a
day golfing at the foot of the Rocky Mountains at the Banff Springs Golf
Club, or a sightseeing tour of Banff and a Glacier Helicopter Tour. This
25-minute helicopter flightseeing tour takes you above the six glaciers of
Mount Resolute, Mount Cline and the Whitegoat Peaks. You will also view
a 270-metre (900-foot) waterfall, see some spectacular aqua-green highalpine
leaks and cross over a 2,700-meter (9,000-foot) mountain pass. A visit
to a local ranch and BBQ lunch is also included. Overnight in Banff. B, D.
Day 8 Banff to Calgary with Summit Helicopter Tour
Today you will enjoy a full-day tour concluding in Calgary. Begin the morning
with a sightseeing tour of Banff. Among the points of interest are Bow
Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. Banff Gondola
included. Continue on to Kananaskis for the highlight of today's adventure,
a 12-minute Summit Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the
Rockies. Your vacation ends in Calgary.
A proce reduction of $119 will apply for the Summit Helicopter Tour in the event of inclement weather or if a guest chooses not to fly.
