Day 1 Vancouver to Kamloops
At Rocky Mountaineer Vancouver Station, board
the world-renowned Rocky Mountaineer train.
Pass through the fertile fields of the Fraser Valley
and view the towering peaks of the Coast
Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon.
See the thundering waters of Hell’s Gate and
follow the Thompson River to historic
Kamloops, gateway to the Interior of British
Columbia. Stay overnight in moderate
accommodations in Kamloops.

Arrival Kamloops 5:35 p.m. PT
Day 2 Kamloops to Calgary
Continue east through the vast ranchlands
along the South Thompson River, pass
Craigellachie, where the “Last Spike” of the
Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, and enter
Rogers Pass, with its tunnels, snowsheds and
glistening glaciers. Climb through the Spiral
Tunnels and over the Continental Divide to Banff
National Park. End your rail journey in the “Stampede City” of Calgary.

Day 1 Calgary to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Calgary through the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Your journey offers you a spectacular range of scenery as you travel between the high peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, Craigellachie where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, and of course the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 2 Kamloops to Vancouver
Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through the winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.
