Day 1 – Barcelona
Welcome to beautiful Barcelona! Upon arrival, meet your private transfer at the airport for the trip to your hotel including a 2-hour orientation tour of the city. Overnight Barcelona.
Day 2 – Barcelona at Leisure
The day is yours to enjoy Barcelona as you like, or elect to take an optional tour. Ask a rail specialist for activities that can be added to your itinerary to enhance your stay. Overnight Barcelona. (B)
Day 3 – Barcelona at Leisure
The morning is yours to explore Barcelona on your own. You have lunch reservations* at 1:00 pm at Marina Moncho’s Restaurant. Featuring grilled seafood, meat and Spanish classics, it is known across Europe for exceptional service, quality cuisine, and generous portions. Overnight Barcelona. (B, L)
Day 4 – Train to Madrid
After breakfast, meet your driver in the hotel lobby for your private transfer to the rail station, where you’ll catch the train to Madrid. Upon arrival, meet your driver on the train platform for the transfer to your hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight Madrid. (B)
Day 5 – Madrid Sightseeing
This morning embark on a city sightseeing tour with a private local guide and driver. Get the lay of the land while learning about Madrid’s history from its beginnings in the Lower Paleolithic Age and its rise as the capital of King Philip II’s mighty empire in 1561 to the cosmopolitan city it is today. Enjoy dinner tonight** at Restaurante Cuevas del Duque featuring cuisine from Hernampérez Cheff Carlos, recently judged one of the top cooks in all of Madrid. Overnight Madrid. (B, D)
Day 6 – Madrid at Leisure
After breakfast you have a full day at leisure to explore the city on your own. Perhaps you will elect to visit a museum or do some shopping. Consider taking an optional day tour outside of Madrid to neighboring cities like Toledo. Ask a rail specialist about optional activities that can be added to your itinerary. Overnight Madrid. (B)
Day 7 – Train to Seville
Meet your driver in the hotel lobby after breakfast for your private transfer to the rail station, where you’ll catch the train to Seville. Upon arrival, meet your driver on the train platform for the trip to your hotel. Overnight Seville. (B)
Day 8 – Seville Sightseeing
Spend the day exploring Seville on a hop-on/hop-off sightseeing tour. Experience the historical masterpiece that is Seville with it Moorish monuments, gardens, flamenco festivals, Museum of Fine Arts, medieval Jewish Quarter, and more. This evening enjoy a Flamenco show with dinner! Arrive on your own at Hosteria Del Laurel for a tapas dinner*, then walk to Barrio del Arenal for your traditional Flamenco show+. Overnight Seville. Day 9 – Depart Seville
After breakfast, meet your driver in the hotel lobby for your private transfer to either the Seville rail station or the airport for your return flight home.
Hotels include the Hotel Del Mar, Hotel Tryp Atocha, and Vime Corregidor. Rail transportation is in first-class including seat reservations.
