Day 1 - Arrive in Vienna
Arrive in Vienna and check in to your centrally-located hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to begin to explore this imperial city. Prepare to see a multi-faceted city as you encounter old and new Vienna in its galleries, museums, stylish shops and bistros. Overnight Austria Classic Hotel Wien or similar.

Day 2 – Vienna Sightseeing
Embark on a city tour this morning to the city’s historic sights including the Ringstrasse, the State Opera House, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural History, the Hofburg, Parliament, City Hall, the Burgtheater, the University, and Votive Church. A true highlight of this half-day tour is a visit to Schonbrunn Palace. This afternoon is at your leisure to soak up the city’s history and culture. Overnight Austria Classic Hotel Wien or similar. Day 3 – Vienna at Your Leisure
Your last full day in Vienna is free for you to do as you please. You may wish to revisit some of the sights you saw on yesterday’s city tour or venture out to discover other aspects of this historic city. Consider taking an optional excursion to see another side of Vienna, like the Vienna Woods Mayerling Seegrotte tour to the Vienna Woods, the Roman City of Baden, the Mayerling hunting lodge, past the Holdrichsmuhle where Franz Schubert composed “The Linden Tree” to Seegrotte for a boat ride on Europe’s largest subterranean lake with a return to Vienna by way of Liechtenstein Castle. Enjoy traditional Austrian specialties over a three-course dinner at a local restaurant this evening. Overnight Austria Classic Hotel Wien or similar. (B, D)

Day 4 – Train to Salzburg
After breakfast, travel to the rail station where you will board your train to Salzburg. Sit back, relax and admire the passing scenery during the four-hour train journey to the birthplace of Mozart. Upon arrival, make your way to your centrally-located hotel, with the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight Austrotel or similiar. (B)

Day 5 – Explore Salzburg
After breakfast, you have full use of your 48-Hour Salzburg Card to explore “The Sound of Music” city at your leisure. You have unlimited use of Salzburg’s public transportation system at your disposal plus free admission to 27 attractions and museums including the cable-car Untersberg, the Catacombs of St. Peter, Hellbrunn Palace, Mozart’s Residence, the Museum of Modern Art, a cruise aboard the Amadeus Salzburg (April through October) as well as discounts at other attractions. This evening, delight in some of the very best Austrian and international cuisine over a three-course dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight Austrotel or similar. (B, D)

Day 6 – Salzburg at Your Leisure
You have another full day free to see and do what you like in this charming city using your 48-Hour Salzburg Card. Or, you may wish to embark on an optional tour to the Eagles Nest, the salt mines or through the sights seen in “The Sound of Music.” Overnight Austrotel or similar. (B)

Day 7 – Train to Munich
After breakfast, head to the train station where you will begin your rail journey into Germany. Upon arrival in Munich, make your way to your centrally-located hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight Kings Center Hotel or similar. (B)

Day 8 – Munich Sightseeing
Spend the day exploring Munich with a Hop-On, Hop-Off tour. Enjoy your orientation of Munich aboard a double-decker bus, hopping off when you come across a stop you’d like to explore at greater length. Stops include the Karlsplatz, Marienplatz, Opera and Odeonsplatz. Delight in traditional German cuisine tonight at a local restaurant. Overnight Kings Center Hotel or similar. (B, D)

Day 9 – Munich at Your Leisure
The day is yours to explore Munich as you like. Consider taking an optional excursion to see the sights outside of the city. One of the most popular visits is Neuschwanstein Castle, built by King Ludwig II. This fairytale castle was the inspiration for Disneyland’s Cinderella Castle. Day 10 – Auf Wiedersehen, Munich
