Day 1 - London to Warsaw
Depart from London Heathrow on your British Airways flight to Warsaw. Arrive late this afternoon and transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 2 - Warsaw
Spend the day exploring the Old Town or visiting the Royal Castle. Overnight Warsaw. (B)

Day 3 - Warsaw
Continue exploring this fascinating city this morning, perhaps touring Wilanów Palace. Late this afternoon, step aboard the Danube Express and settle into your compartment. Relax with a drink before dinner as the train heads for the Baltic Coast. Overnight train. (B, D)

Day 4 - Malbork / Gdańsk
This morning arrive in Malbork, once a stronghold of the Teutonic Knights. Visit the magnificent Malbork Castle, the world's largest brick building, before lunch en route to Gdansk, where there is a city tour including the reconstructed Burgher houses and quaint harbor of the Old Town, St. Mary's Church and the Neptune Fountain. Early this evening the train departs for Cracow. Overnight train. (B, L, D)

Day 5 - Cracow / Wieliczka
Arrive in Cracow for a morning tour, including Wawel Castle, the medieval Market Square and magnificent Cloth Hall, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. Later, travel by coach to the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Re-join the Danube Express for dinner as it climbs through the spectacular Tatra Mountains and heads for Slovakia. Overnight train. (B, L, D)

Day 6 - Bratislava / Budapest
This morning we'll tour Bratislava, Slovakia's capital city, including the Old Town and the stunning castle overlooking the Danube. Enjoy lunch on the train as we travel through Slovakia and into Hungary, following the Danube to Budapest, where we'll have a farewell reception in the Royal Waiting Room at Budapest Nyugati Station. Transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay. (B, L)

Day 7 - Budapest
Spend the day exploring one of Hungary's most historic city's. Overnight Budapest. (B)

Day 8 - Budapest to London
