Day 1 - Depart USA for Helsinki
Board your international flight for the journey across the Atlantic Ocean. (Air travel not included in tour cost)

Day 2 – Arrive in Helsinki
Welcome to Finland’s capital city! Check into your hotel and take the day to relax. Meet your tour manager and fellow travelers this evening for a welcome reception followed by an evening orientation drive. Overnight Scandic Grand Marina/Scandic Continental. (R)

Day 3 – Helsinki / St. Petersburg
Today we drive along the Gulf of Finland and cross the border into Russia. Travel through the forests of Karelia to St. Petersburg. This evening, enjoy complimentary Russian sparkling wine with dinner at your hotel. Later, you may wish to consider seeing a Russian folklore show. Overnight Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya. (B, D)

Day 4 – St. Petersburg Sightseeing
Embark on a sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg with a local guide. Highlights include the Tsar’s Winter Palace, Nevsky Prospekt, St. Isaac’s Cathedral and the statue of Peter the Great as well as a visit to St. Peter and Paul Fortress. There will also be a visit to the Hermitage Museum to see one of the world’s largest and most valuable art collections. Overnight Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya. (B)

Day 5 – St. Petersburg at Leisure
The entire day is free to explore St. Petersburg at your own pace. You may wish to revisit some of the sights from yesterday’s tour or uncover new treasures in this historic city. Overnight Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya. (B)

Day 6 – Train to Moscow
Today we board a high-speed train for the journey across the vast Russian landscape to Russia’s capital city of Moscow. Upon arrival this evening, we’ll dine at our hotel. Overnight Radisson Blu Moscow. (B, D)

Day 7 – Moscow Sightseeing
Embark on a guided sightseeing tour of the city. Highlights include St. Basil’s Cathedral and Red Square plus a visit to the magnificent Kremlin. Overnight. Radisson Blu Moscow. (B)

Day 8 – Moscow at Leisure
Take the day to explore Russia’s capital on your own. Revisit some of the sights from yesterday’s city tour or discover new attractions on your own or via an optional excursion. Options can include visits to the Tsar’s Treasury Chamber or the St. Sergius Monastery. Or, simply shop for souvenirs and handicrafts at local shops and markets. Overnight Radisson Blu Moscow. (B)

Day 9 – Moscow / Minsk
Follow in the footsteps of Napolean’s retreating army of 1812, passing near Borodino and stopping for lunch in the Smolensk region. Cross the border into Belarus and continue to Minsk, where you’ll see the city’s sights including Hero’s Hill Monument on an orientation tour. Dine on local cuisine tonight at your hotel. Day 10 – Minsk At Leisure
You have the entire day to explore the Belorussian capital city on your own. This evening you’ll enjoy a memorable local dining experience. (B, D)

Day 11 – Minsk / Vilnius
Today we travel west, cross the border into Lithuania and travel to the capital city of Vilnius. Our expert local guide will show us the city’s most impressive sights on a walking tour. Highlights include the Bishop’s Palace and the University. Explore the Baroque Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. Walk to the Gates of Dawn, the Carmelite Church of St. Theresa, the former Jewish Ghetto, the Cathedral and new Royal Palace excavations. Finish at the Church of St. Anna and the site of the synagogue destroyed in the last war. Overnight Radisson Blu Lietuva. (B, D)

Day 12 – Vilnius / Siauliai / Riga
Depart Vilnius after lunch and visit the Hill of Crosses at Siauliai. Later, arrive in the ancient city of Riga, Latvia’s capital, made famous by the stories of Baron von Munchhausen. Overnight Radisson Blu Daugava. (B, D)

Day 13 – Riga Sightseeing
Today’s sightseeing tour takes us through the beautiful city of Riga, situated on the Baltic coast. Highlights include the State Art Museum, the Tris Braili and a visit to St. John’s Church and the Dom Cathedral, dating back to the 13th century. Spend free time afterwards exploring the narrow medieval streets on your own and shopping for souvenirs in the old town. Radisson Blu Daugava. (B, D)

Day 14 – Riga / Tallinn
Today we drive along the Gulg of Riga north into Estonia and travel via Parmu, a popular beach resort, to Tallinn. You may wish to take an evening stroll through this charming town. Overnight Radisson Blu Olumpia. (B, D)

Day 15 – Tallinn Sightseeing
Admire the sights of Tallinn today as you embark on a sightseeing tour of the city with a local guide. Explore the beautifully preserved streets of the old Hanseatic Quarter and 15th century Luhike Jalq Gate. Visit the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Old Town Hall. Later, board a ship and cross the sea to Helsinki. Admire Finlandia Hall, the Senate and Market Squares, broad boulevards and the domed Russian church during a guided tour of the city. Celebrate with your traveling companions at this evening’s farewell dinner. Overnight Scandic Grand Marina/Scandic Continental. (B, D)

Day 16 – Helsinki – USA
