Day 2 - Arrive Zurich
Welcome to Zurich in the heart of Switzerland! Later this afternoon your tour Director will take you on an orientation tour of Switzerland's financial capital. This evening meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Drink.

Day 3 - Zurich - Chur - St. Moritz
This morning take the train via Chur to St. Moritz passing snow-capped mountains and sparkling lakes before arriving in this sophisticated mountain resort. This evening dinner is at your hotel.

Day 4 - St Moritz - Glacier Express - Zermatt
All aboard one of the most spectacular train journeys in the world - the immensely comfortable air-cushioned and air-conditioned Glacier Express! This 8-hour railway journey travels over 291 bridges passes through 91 tunnels and crosses the Oberalp Pass at 2,033 meters in altitude. See magnificent Alpine lakes and glaciers en route to the unique resort of Zermatt, dominated by the Matterhorn. You will walk the short distance to your charming hotel where you will dine tonight. Day 5 - Zermatt at Leisure
Your Tour Director will give you an orientation of this charming car-free resort. Thereafter time to relax in the clean mountain air, window shop or perhaps take a cable-car ride to have further stunning views of the Alpine landscapes. Overnight National. (BB, D)
Day 6 - Zermatt - Geneva
This morning's train journey takes you to the international city of Geneva on the lake of the same name. This fascinating capital city of the Suisse Romande (French-speaking Switzerland) contains the headquarters of a number of international organizations such as the international Red Cross. Enjoy a short walking tour highlighting the Reformation Monument, Old Town, the Flower Clock and the Jet d'Eau. Later, you may wish to enjoy a delicious dinner of Swiss specialities in a restaurant overlooking a view of Europe's highest mountain - Mont Blanc. Overnight Cornavin. (BB)
Day 7 - Geneva - Interlaken - Lucerne
Enjoy another stunning day of scenery as you leave Geneva on the Golden Pass route. Disembark in Interlaken situated in the heart of the Swiss Alps between the glassy lakes of Thun and Brienz, and at the foot of the famous trio of peaks - the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau. Here you have time to relax and enjoy the superb views of the peaks of the Bernese Oberland, so beloved of Queen Victoria who often stayed in Interlaken. Reboard the train through the Brünig Pass to lakeside Lucerne in central Switzerland for your leisurely two-night stay. This evening, why not learn to yodel at a fun-packed Swiss folklore show. Day 8 - Lucerne Orientation & at Leisure
After breakfast enjoy a walking tour in this medieval city highlighting the poignant Lion Monument built in memory of Louis XVI's Swiss Guard. See the covered wooden Chapel Bridge which spans the River Reuss and the decorated wooden panels which chronicle the history of Lucerne. Later you may wish to take an optional excursion to a nearby mountain peak, famed for its splendid views. Perhaps choose to explore the old city and shop for Swiss watches, cuckoo clocks and delicious Swiss chocolates. Tonight get together with your Tour Director for your final night and enjoy a Farewell Dinner with wine in a local restaurant! Overnight Astoria. (BB, FD)
Day 9 - Lucerne - Zurich - USA
This morning after breakfast it is time to bid farewell to Switzerland, your new-found friends as your Swiss vacation comes to an end. You are given tickets by your Tour Director for the short train journey from Lucerne to Zurich Airport which you can take at your convenience for the onward journey homewards. (BB)
