Day 1 - Depart USA for London
Board your international flight for the journey across the Atlantic Ocean. (Air travel not included in tour cost)

Day 2 – Arrive in London
Welcome to London! Upon arrival, check into your hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore this exciting capital city. Overnight Park Plaza County Hall.

Day 3 – London Sightseeing
See London’s most popular sights on your morning sightseeing tour including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore this dynamic city on your own. Overnight Park Plaza County Hall. (BB)

 

Day 4 - London to Amsterdam by Ferry
See the White Cliffs on your approach to Dover, where you board a ferry to Calais. Travel north through Belgium to Amsterdam. View the famous Mint Tower and Dam Square. Meet your tour manager and fellow travelers this evening for a welcome reception on a scenic canal cruise with dinner and drinks. Overnight WestCord Fashion. (CB, D)

Day 5 – Amsterdam / Heidelberg
Travel via Arnhem to the Rhine Valley. Relax as you cruise along the Rhine River past terraced vineyards and medieval castles to St. Goar. Pass the famous Lorelai Rock, named after a mermaid who lured fishermen to their deaths with her mesmerizing song. In Heidelberg, view the red sandstone castle, one of the most important architectural structures north of the Alps, which towers above Germany’s oldest university town. Day 6 – Schaffhausen / Lucerne
Drive into the enchanting Black Forest and stop for a cuckoo clock-making demonstration. Visit the dramatic Rhine Falls—the largest waterfall in Europe—at Schauffhausen. Later, arrive in Switzerland with its alpine scenery and enjoy magnificent views across Lake Lucerne. Overnight Grand Europe. (BB)

Day 7 – Lucerne Sightseeing
Walk across the 14th century Chapel Bridge on your morning orientation tour of the city. Visit the solemn Lion Monument, commemorating the massacre of Swiss Guards in 1792. Spend the afternoon shopping in the old town for Swiss chocolates or enjoy a leisurely walk along the beautiful lake. Overnight Grand Europe. (BB, D)

Day 8 – Burgundy / Paris
See the changing landscape as you travel into France, through Alsace and across the Maginot Line. Continue through the Burgundy countryside, one of the country’s main wine-producing regions famous for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties, on your way to Paris. This evening you may decide to take an optional excursion to see a famous Parisian cabaret. Overnight Evergreen Laurel. (BB)

Day 9 – Paris Sightseeing
Your expert local guide shows you the city’s sights today including views of Notre Dame Cathedral, the Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe and the magnificent Opera House designed by Charles Garnier and opened in 1875. Ascend to the second level of the Eiffel Tower by elevator and view the city in all its glory. This afternoon is free for you to see and do what you like in Paris. You may wish to take an excursion to the Palace of Versailles. Dinner with your fellow travelers this evening is at a local restaurant. Overnight Evergreen Laurel. (BB, D)

Day 10 – Paris to London on Eurostar
Travel by Eurostar from Paris Gare du Nord arriving at London St. Pancras in just 2 hours and 15 minutes. Transfer to your hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight Thistle Euston. (BB)
