Day 1 - Depart USA for Vienna
Board your international flight for the journey across the Atlantic Ocean. (Air travel not included in tour cost.)

Day 2 - Arrive in Vienna
Upon arrival in Vienna, transfer to your hotel to meet your tour manager. The remainder of the day is yours to begin to explore this refined city at your own pace. This cultural city still proudly celebrates its heritage of music with Strauss waltzes, its classical desserts in chandelier-lit coffee houses, and its historic empire at ornate imperial residences. Day 3 - Vienna Sightseeing
Embark on a full day of sightseeing after breakfast this morning. Your private coach tour begins on the Ringstrasse Road that encircles the city, dipping into the historic areas, to see amazing architectural relics from nearly every era. Walk along the pedestrian malls in the revered 1st District. Continue on to the Spanish Riding School where you will see the results of 400 years of savvy horse breeding in an opulent section of the Hofburg Palace where Lippizaner stallions show off their intricate talents.

This afternoon's attractions include the Hofburg Palace Kaiserappartements. Next, visit Schonbrunn Palace, surely a highlight of your time in Vienna. Day 4 - Train to Salzburg
This morning transfer from your hotel via private motorcoach to the Vienna rail station, where you will board the Railjet 162 for Salzburg. This comfortable, modern train will whisk you through some of Austria's most scenic mountain ranges. You're scheduled to arrive in Salzburg around noon, and begin your sightseeing of the city by private motorcoach upon your arrival.

The first stop will be the Hohensalzburg Fortress. Towering above the town, the views of the surrounding countryside are inspiring. Continue on to Mozart's Birthplace and Mozart's Residence, where you will see the boy genius's former living quarters and precious relics such as his violin, clavichord, portraits, and memorabilia. This evening enjoy a fabulous Evening Sound of Salzburg dinner, including a three-course meal followed by songs from the Sound of Music, Austrian folk songs, operettas, and other Mozart favorites. Day 5 - Rail to Rome
This morning transfer to the railway station for your full day of train travel to Rome. The first leg of your trip takes you through awesome Austrian mountain scenery to Innsbruck, where you'll transfer to a Brennero train for the five hour journey through traditional villages and romantic towns en route to Rome. Upon arrival this evening, check into your hotel with the remainder of your evening in the Eternal City at your leisure. Overnight Hotel Androtti. (CB)

Day 6 - Rome Sightseeing
Watch as history unfolds before you on today's full-day city tour. The day begins with a visit to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. View major works of art and frescoes from antiquity to the Renaissance, housed in the papal palaces. Your visit to the Vatican includes St. Peter's Basilica, commissioned by Constantine to be built over the remains of St. Peter's tomb. This afternoon will find you at the Colosseum and the Roman Imperial Forum, the ancient marketplace that seems to come alive as you stroll through the ruins. Overnight Hotel Androtti. (CB)

Day 7 - Rome at Leisure
Today is yours to explore Rome on your own. Wander the cobblestone streets, admiring the artists in the piazzas. Linger on the Spanish Steps, throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain, and gaze up at the ceiling of the Pantheon. Day 8 - Florence
After breakfast, transfer to the train station for your morning departure to Florence. The city is known for its artistic pieces by Botticelli, Michelangelo, and Da Vinci. Enjoy a walking tour of the city, strolling around this Renaissance gem, across the River Arno over the Ponte Vecchio Bridge, past countless statues from the great masters. The evening is at your leisure to enjoy some of Florence's outstanding restaurants. Overnight De La Pace. (CB)

Day 9 - Venice
This morning see some of Europe's most important art on display at Galleria dell Accademia, including Michelangelo's famous statue of David. Later, transfer to the railway station for your early afternoon departure to Venice. You'll appreciate the more rural side of Italy during the two-hour ride. Upon arrival, transfer by boat to your hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Venice is possibly the most beautiful, unique city in the world. It is made up of 117 different islands linked by over 150 canals and 400 bridges. Take time to explore the city, meandering along the cobblestone footpaths. Make sure to visit St. Marco Cathedral, the Byzantine Basilica known as the Golden Church. Overnight Domina Home Giudecca. Day 10 - Venice
Today brings a four-hour guided walking tour of Venice. Make your way through the maze of alleys and canals, over arching foot bridges, through ancient piazzas and past buildings whose first floors are half-submerged! A highlight of the day will be a visit to Doges Palace, once the residence and government center for dukes and a symbol of power and prosperity. Overnight Domina Home Giudecca. (CB)

Day 11 - Train to Paris
Prepare for a full day of exciting rail travel! After breakfast, transfer to the rail station for the trip to Milan, where you will transfer to a high-speed TGV train for the journey to Paris. The train will average 165 miles per hour as it traverses the French countryside. Keep an eye our for the breathtaking Alps between Milan and Lausanne as well as castles, rivers and enchanting French villages.

Upon arrival in the City of Lights this evening, enjoy an evening Paris Illumination tour en route to your hotel. See the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe from a different perspective this evening. Overnight Mercure Ronceray. (CB)

Day 12 - Paris Sightseeing
Today enjoy a full-day city and museum tour via private motorcoach. Drive down the Champs Elysees, around the Place de la Concorde, and past the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral along the River Seine. See the Arc de Triomphe, which honors those who fought and died in the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars, and visit the Eiffel Tower. You'll have stunning views of the city from the second floor observation deck! Later, visit the Musee d'Orsay, a neoclassical museum housed in an old rail station. Day 13 - Paris
You will have ample time to enjoy Paris at your own pace today. Enjoy free time to explore the fashionable Right Bank or the bohemian Left Bank. Stroll through the gardens or view the treasures in the Louvre. Later, enjoy a one-hour Seine River cruise. Dinner this evening will be at a delightful local restaurant. (CB, D)

Day 14 - Tour Conclusion
Your European vacation comes to an end after breakfast when you transfer from your hotel to the airport for your return flights home. (CB)
