Rail Your Way
Vacations By Rail now offers travelers more flexibility when planning their rail vacation with the addition of Rail Your Way for 2015. Travelers can now choose when and where to start the rail portion of their trip. For example, travelers can now take the train from the nearest Amtrak station to the first off-train stop of a vacation, or begin at any point along the train route. This is available for all vacation types whether traveling independently or on an escorted trip.
Pairing a cruise with a rail vacation is a favorite option among travelers whether it’s a river cruise down the Mississippi or the Danube in Europe, or meeting-up with an ocean liner to visit Alaska or the Caribbean. Vacations By Rail offers a variety of packaged rail-cruise vacations but the opportunities are limitless. Vacations By Rail works with seven different cruise lines from Holland America Lines to Cunard—or customers can select their preferred cruise line—and has added a Rail/Cruise match-up key to this year’s brochure allowing travelers to easily identify vacations and routes that pair with cruise ports. Travelers can depart on a cruise from Miami, New York, New Orleans and Seattle among others.
