Alaska By Daylight - 10 Day Tour
One of the premier packages on the Alaska Railroad, this 10-day adventure takes you from tidewater to Alaska’s “Golden Heart” in the Interior. Trips to Whittier and Seward introduce you to the coastal wonders of Prince William Sound, Resurrection Bay, and Kenai Fjords National Park. Then it’s back to Anchorage and north to Talkeetna and Denali National Park and its world-famous flora and fauna, not to mention North America’s tallest mountain. Fairbanks is the northernmost destination where you’ll discover its history and attractions like the trans-Alaska pipeline and the University of Alaska Museum. Your final stop is Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city.

Day 1 - Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage on your own. You may wish to visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, open from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm daily. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 2 - Travel South on the Coastal Classic
Board the Coastal Classic train to Seward, and take in the spectacular scenery. Embark on the Resurrection Bay Park Ranger Cruise with Major Marine Tours and enjoy an all-you-can-eat salmon and prime rib buffet. Overnight Seward.
Day 3 - Real Alaska
Today enjoy the Real Alaska tour including a dog sled ride, lunch at an Alaska roadhouse, and Exit Glacier tour. Depart for Anchorage aboard the Coastal Classic train. Keep an eye out for moose! Overnight Anchorage.
Day 4 - Talkeetna
Depart for Talkeetna aboard the Denali Star Train. In Talkeetna, experience a thrilling 3 ½-hour guided river jetboat safari traversing three different rivers. Overnight Talkeetna.
Day 5 - Denali National Park
Journey to Denali National Park aboard the Denali Star Train. Enjoy an evening of rip-roarin’ entertainment and hearty grub at Alaska Cabin Nite Dinner Theater (choose a 5:30 pm or 8:30 pm reservation). Overnight Denali.
Day 6 - Tundra Wilderness Tour
Embark on a Tundra Wilderness Tour, a 6 – 8 hour bus tour of Denali National Park. Wildlife sightings are common so keep your camera handy. Overnight Denali.
Day 7 - Denali/Fairbanks
The morning is yours to explore and shop in Denali. Later, embark for Gold Rush territory – Fairbanks. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 8 - Riverboat Discovery Excursion
Take a tour on the Riverboat Discovery, a historic sternwheeler, for a preview of life in Interior Alaska. See dogsledding, an Alaska Indian village and so much more. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 9 - Fairbanks/Anchorage
Enjoy a historical Fairbanks city tour. Visit the University of Alaska, Fairbanks Museum of the North, the trans-Alaska pipeline, Musk Ox Farm and more. Later, fly to Anchorage via Era Alaska. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 10 - Whittier/Prince William Sound
Depart for Whittier and Prince William Sound on the Glacier Discovery Train. Enjoy the “26 Glacier Cruise.” See immense tidewater glaciers. Overnight Anchorage.
