Day 3 - Chicago to St. Louis by Train
Transfer on your own and board Amtrak to St. Louis. Enjoy a free day to explore. Why not immerse yourself in the culture of Forest Park or check out the fusion of sculpture and landscape architecture at the Citygarden? Overnight St. Louis.
Day 4 - St. Louis
See the award-winning documentary “Monument to the Dream,” where you will witness the amazing story of a man and his determination to build the Gateway Arch. Then take a 630-foot ride to the top of the Gateway Arch to experience for yourself the wonder of this awe-inspiring structure! Overnight St. Louis.
Day 5 - Overnight Train to Dallas

Day 6 - Arrival in Dallas

Day 7 - Dallas
Today you’ll visit the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza which chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. See the exact spot from where Lee Harvey Oswald (allegedly) assassinated our beloved President. Overnight Dallas.
Day 8 - Dallas to San Antonio
Transfer on your own and board Amtrak to San Antonio. Enjoy a relaxing day of travel before arriving in “Saint Anthony”, the city famous for Spanish missions, the Alamo and the Tower of the Americas. Overnight San Antonio.
Day 9 - San Antonio
Today you’ll visit the Alamo, San Antonio’s first Spanish mission founded in 1718. Your tour also includes a riverboat cruise and admission to the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum, the world’s only Wax Museum of Texas History. Overnight San Antonio.
Day 10 - San Antonio
Your rail vacation through America’s heartland ends today.
