On most Amtrak trains, you have options for seating accommodations. The availability of these options varies depending on your route and the kind of train equipment in use.
Lower Level Coach seats are available on the first level of Superliner trains. Seating Upgrades On Amtrak: Business Class Business Class is the minimum class of service on Acela Express and is offered as an upgrade to Coach Class seating on many long-distance and short-distance Amtrak trains. Every seat is reserved, with ample legroom and many amenities.
Sleeping accommodations are available on most long-distance routes. Amtrak trains traveling long-distance routes typically use either two-level Superliner or one-level Viewliner train car equipment, each of which has sleeping cars with bedrooms arranged in various configurations.
