Day 1 - Chicago Sightseeing
Welcome to Chicago! Take the day to explore the Windy City on your own. You may wish to take a walk down the Magnificent Mile for world-class shopping, dining and attractions, or visit some of the city's skyscrapers for unrivaled views of the skyline and outlying areas. A pre-tour wine and cheese reception will be held to meet your guide and fellow travelers. Overnight Chicago.

Day 2 - Empire Builder to Glacier National Park
This morning take a city tour of Chicago before transferring to historic Union Station for lunch at your leisure prior to boarding the iconic Empire Builder. Overnight train. (B, D)

Day 3 - Arrive Glacier National Park
Enjoy the day on board the train as the Empire Builder makes its way along the legendary route across the northern prairies. The train pulls into East Glacier in the early evening. After arrival, you will check into the rustic Glacier Park Lodge. Overnight East Glacier. (B, L, D)

Day 4 - Glacier National Park
This morning is free for you to explore on your own prior to an afternoon tour of the fir and aspen forests into Glacier National Park and the Two Medicine Valley. Overnight East Glacier Park. (B, D)

Day 5 - International Peace Park Tour
After breakfast, take a full-day tour inside Glacier National Park and across the Canadian border to Waterton Lakes National Park. Lunch in on your own. We suggest afternoon tea at the Prince of Wales Hotel, one of the most photographed hotels in the world. Overnight Glacier National Park. (B, D)

Day 6 - Explore the Going-to-the-Sun Road
Today's journey starts on the rugged eastern slopes and follows the glacially carved valleys of the St. Mary's region along the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Continue down the west side of the Park where you may elect to lunch at Lake McDonald Lodge. Overnight Glacier National Park. (B, D)

Day 7 - Glacier National Park/Empire Builder to Seattle
Enjoy your final day with a boat cruise of Swiftcurrent Lake and Josephine Lake. This afternoon, you will transfer back to Glacier Park Lodge and board Amtrak's Empire Builder for the trip to Seattle. Overnight train. (B, D)

Day 8 - Seattle Sightseeing
This morning you will arrive in Seattle, known as the Emerald City. Enjoy an early city tour, which will end in Pike Place Market for lunch at your leisure. There will be time at your leisure to explore the city before your finale dinner. Overnight Seattle. (B, D)

Day 9 - Tour Conclusion
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast. You may wish to extend your tour independently with a stay in Seattle or continue on for time at your leisure in nearby locales. (B)
