Day 1 - Arrive in Chicago
Welcome to the Windy City! Check into your hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure. This evening meet your tour manager and fellow travelers at a wine and cheese reception. Overnight Chicago.
Day 2 - Chicago Sightseeing
Start your morning with a tour of Chicago. This afternoon is at your leisure to explore on your own or enjoy some shopping along the Magnificent Mile. Dinner and an evening activity are also included. Overnight Chicago. (B, D)
Day 3 - Memphis-Bound on the City of New Orleans
Today you'll enjoy unparalleled views of Chicago's renowned architecture on a guided cruise on the Chicago River. Dinner at a popular restaurant in Chicago is included. This evening, transfer to historic Union Station and board Amtrak's City of New Orleans train for your journey south to Memphis. Overnight train. (B, D)
Day 4 - Arrive in Memphis
The City of New Orleans arrives in Memphis early this morning. Transfer to your hotel and check your luggage with the bell desk before starting your Memphis sightseeing. A tour of Graceland, Elvis's home, will kick off your stay. Overnight Memphis. (B)
Day 5 - Explore Memphis
A fun city tour of Memphis complete with musicians onboard and audience participation is on the day's agenda. Day 6 - Memphis to New Orleans
Transfer to the train station this morning and board the City of New Orleans for the 400-mile journey to the Big Easy. Upon arrival in New Orleans, transfer to your hotel with the evening at your leisure. Overnight New Orleans. (B, D)
Day 7 - New Orleans Sightseeing
Start the day with a jazz brunch at the Court of Two Sisters. You'll be serenaded with more jazz music as you dine. Following breakfast, embark on a tour of the city including the Garden District and the French Latin Quarter. Dinner tonight is aboard the Steamboat Natchez. Overnight New Orleans. (B, D)
Day 8 - Tour Concludes
Bid farewell to the birthplace of jazz this morning when your American music tour comes to a close.
