Day 1: En Route
Midwest travelers will meet in Chicago’s Union Station this afternoon. At 8:00 p.m. you'll board the eastbound Lake Shore Limited. A reception will be held in the dining car. Departure is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. Eastern tour members will depart tomorrow for Boston.
Relax in your comfortable reclining coach seat with leg rest. Roomettes or upgraded Bedrooms are available at an additional cost. All dining car meals are included. You're free to explore the train. Sandwiches, snacks and beverages are available in the lounge car.
Day 2: En Route/Boston
Tour members from upper New York State will board the Lake Shore Limited this morning. Pennsylvania, Virginia, and other East Coast tour participants will travel to Boston during the day and transfer by taxi to the hotel upon arrival. A boxed dinner will be provided for those on the Lake Shore Limited. Your hotel for the night is the Hampton Inn Boston/Peabody.

Day 3: Boston/Embarkation
This morning you’ll embark on an extensive sightseeing tour of the greater Boston area. you’ll visit “Old Ironsides,” the Bunker Hill Monument, the Old North Church and other major attractions.
Our tour will end at the cruise terminal where you'll board the beautiful Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas. This ship is indeed a jewel on the high seas - filled with innovative features and luxurious amenities. Swim in the sparkling Solarium pool (inside) or get a massage in the Day Spa. The Shops On Board boutique has fantastic merchandise at great prices . Dine in one of the dining rooms or specialty restaurants. Following a luncheon buffet, you can relax or explore your beautiful home for the next six days. Departure is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

Day 4: Portland, Maine
Established in 1632 by British settlers as a trading and fishing settlement, the city of Portland evolved to become the first capital of Maine in 1820. Maine’s largest city now offers a unique combination of the state’s rich history and its own vibrant culture. Local artisans offer their handiwork along the streets of the Arts District and the Old Port Exchange. Colorful boats line the shores of Casco Bay, and wonderful freshly cooked seafood abounds in this charming seaside town.
Today’s optional shore excursions include: Lighthouses of Maine, L. L. Bean Freeport Shopping Transfer, Kennebunkport, Mt. Washington & The Cog Train, Portland Highlights and Schooner Adventure, and Portland Horse Drawn Wagon City Tour.

Day 5: Bar Harbor
USA TODAY lists Acadia among the "10 great places to peep at the peak foliage." Once the exclusive summer resort of America’s fabulously wealthy, today Bar Harbor is an artists’ enclave and gateway to the stunning natural beauty of Acadia National Park, much of which was donated by the Rockefeller family. Beaches, forests and granite cliffs make up some of the country's most beautiful scenery. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the park, attend an authentic New England lobster bake, take a whale watching cruise or just explore the numerous shops, museums and art galleries.
Today’s optional shore excursions include: Acadia Carriage Ride & Cadillac Mountain, Whale Watching Cruise, The Best of Bar Harbor, The Cranberry Islands and Cadillac Mountain, and Acadia National Park & Lobster Bake.

Day 6: Halifax, Nova Scotia
As your ship comes into port, a bagpiper will welcome you to Halifax, the capital city of Nova Scotia. The "City of Trees" offers the warmth and charm of a small town along with all the excitement you would expect from a great city. For ocean scenery at its best, nothing rivals Nova Scotia’s south shore. Here you’ll find craggy coastlines, fabled Peggy’s Cove, and the striking German village of Lunenburg, so meticulously restored it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Halifax the ramparts of the Citadel and a museum commemorating the Titanic await your inspection.

Day 7: Cruising
Ahh, now this is relaxation. Do as little or as much as you care to. Pamper yourself with a massage at the Day Spa. Shop for designer clothing, duty-free liquor and gifts at the Shops On Board boutique. Head to the internet cafe’ or library. Tee up at the golf simulator. There is a jogging track and state-of-the-art ShipShape fitness center for those looking to work off some of the fantastic cuisine. Sports fans can catch up on their favorite team at the Sports Bar. Grab a latte at Latté-tudessm. Try your luck at the Casino Royalesm.The Viking Crown Lounge on deck 13 is a glass walled viewing space during the day and hopping dance spot at night. You can attend various classes including dance, napkin folding, foreign language, fruit & vegetable carving and jewelry making. Other daily activities include bingo, mini-golf, craft-making, art auctions, pool games, trivia contests, rock climbing wall, wine tasting; and that traditional cruise favorite, shuffleboard! Of course you can always just cuddle up with a good book as the ocean drifts by.
The evening entertainment is stellar! Royal Caribbean Productions sets the industry standard for cruise line entertainment. From amazing aerial choreography to interactive and folkloric shows to contemporary musical stage productions and Las Vegas-inspired floor shows; one thing is for sure - you'll be amazed!

Day 8: Boston/En Route
Upon disembarking from the Jewel of the Seas you'll transfer to Boston’s South Station where you'll depart at 11:55 a.m. on the westbound Lakeshore Limited. You’ll again enjoy your reclining coach seat with leg rest and the same on-board amenities experienced on your eastbound trip. Sleeping accommodations are available at an additional cost. You’ll want to spend some time in the Lounge Car reminiscing with your fellow vacationers about the great experiences you’ve shared.

Day 9: Chicago
After a full-course dining car breakfast, you'll arrive in Chicago’s Union Station at 9:45 a.m. Vacationers will depart for home destinations throughout the day.
