Day 1 - Explore Denver
Welcome to Denver! The day is at your leisure to get acclimated with the city. Tonight's dinner is on your own before or after a Wine & Cheese Reception at your hotel with your tour guide and fellow travelers. Overnight The Oxford Hotel. (R)
Day 2 - Denver Sightseeing
Denver is a vibrant city, which offers an abundance of activity. Get acquainted with the Denver area on a city tour today. Overnight The Oxford Hotel. (B, D)
Day 3 - California Zephyr to Salt Lake City
After breakfast, board Amtrak's California Zephyr for Salt Lake City, considered to be one of the most scenic routes in North America. Overnight Radisson Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 4 - Bound for Yellowstone National Park
After a restful night in Salt Lake City, the group will travel to Yellowstone National Park via the West Entrance and stay in the north side of the Park. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 5 - Yellowstone Sightseeing
Today embark on a group tour of Yellowstone's Upper Loop. Be sure to bring your camera as there will be plenty of photo opportunities! Overnight Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 6 - Yellowstone National Park Touring
Wake up bright and early for a trip to Lamar Valley for wildlife viewing, which is best done early in the morning. A boxed breakfast will be included. Other highlights of the day include a stagecoach ride with boxed lunch. Overnight Lake Yellowstone Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 7 - Yellowstone National Park
On your last day touring Yellowstone, you'll visit the Park's most renowned attraction, Old Faithful and its surrounding area. You'll surely catch an eruption of this famous geyser as well as witness many other geothermal features. Overnight Lake Yellowstone Hotel. (B, D)
Day 8 - Grand Teton National Park
Today we will take a short ride to bordering Grand Teton National Park to see the majestic Teton Mountains that tower over Jackson Lake and the Snake River. A tour and boat cruise highlight this day. Overnight Jackson Lake Lodge. (B, D)
Day 9 - Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole
Today brings an entire day at leisure to take advantage of many optional excursions like a Snake River Float Trip. Or, just relax by the pool and enjoy the incredible views. Late this afternoon we'll ride to Jackson Hole to spend some time shopping and seeing the sights before meeting for casual surprise dinner. Overnight Jackson Lake Lodge. (B, D)
Day 10 - Scenic Drive to Salt Lake City
After breakfast, enjoy the scenic ride back to Salt Lake City, where you'll board the California Zephyr to San Francisco. Upon arrival in Salt Lake City, you'll be able to rest in your own day room prior to the train's arrival at midnight. Dinner will be on your own this evening. Overnight train. (B, L)
Day 11 - California Zephyr to San Francisco
When you awake this morning the Zephyr will be making its way toward the shores of San Francisco. Enjoy some delicious meals in the Dining Car and witness breathtaking scenery from the train's Sightseer Lounge. The train will arrive in San Francisco later today, where you will transfer to your hotel and have dinner. Overnight San Francisco. (B, L, D)
Day 12 - Explore San Francisco
Embark on a sightseeing tour of the "City by the Bay." Afterward, there will be time to explore San Francisco on your own or relax before your final group dinner. Overnight San Francisco. (B, D)
Day 13 - San Francisco
Your tour ends today. You may wish to extend your stay in California, continue your travels along the Pacific Coast or return home.
