Day 1 - Train to Springfield
Depart Chicago’s Union Station aboard Amtrak’s Lincoln Service at 9:25 am, arriving in Springfield at 12:50 pm. Check into your hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore this historic city. Most popular sites are just a short walk away! Dinner this evening is at Saputo’s Restaurant. Day 2 - Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum
After breakfast this morning, visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, home to collections that are key to understanding the history of Illinois as well as Abraham Lincoln. Browse the museum at your leisure. Late this afternoon, make your way to the Amtrak station for the 4:56 pm Lincoln Service train bound for Chicago, You’re scheduled to arrive at Union Station at 8:40 pm, where your historic Springfield getaway comes to an end.
