Day 1 - Arrive in Chicago
Arrive in Chicago and transfer on your own to your centrally-located hotel near popular attractions, shopping, and dining. Overnight Chicago.
Day 2 - Chicago Sightseeing / Pullman to New Orleans
Spend the day visiting Chicago’s top attractions aboard a hop on/hop off sightseeing tour of the city. Sights include Millennium Park, the Magnificent Mile, Willis Tower, the Art Institute, and more. Early this evening, transfer to historic Union Station and board your vintage Pullman train car for an 8:00 pm departure south. Overnight train. (D)
Day 3 - En Route to New Orleans
Spend the better part of the day enjoying the train’s amenities. Drink in the views from the Pullman Observation Car, take delicious meals in the Dining Car, and enjoy beverages and good company in the Lounge Car. You’re scheduled to arrive in New Orleans at 3:32 pm. Transfer on your own to your hotel, located in the heart of the French Quarter. The evening is at your leisure. Overnight New Orleans. (B, L)
Day 4 - Experience New Orleans
Embark on a hop on/hop off sightseeing tour of New Orleans. Sights include Jackson Square, St. Louis Cemetery, the shops along Magazine Street, the Garden District, and more. This evening enjoy a dinner Jazz Cruise aboard the Steamboat Natchez, including live entertainment with views of the New Orleans skyline as your backdrop. Overnight New Orleans. (D)
Day 5 - Excursion to Oak Alley Plantation
Set off on a half-day tour to Oak Alley Plantation. Built in 1839, it is one of the most photographed plantations of the Old South. Your guided tour will reveal fascinating stories of the home and its history. Return to New Orleans with the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight New Orleans.
Day 6 - Return Home
