In 1939 Canadian Pacific put out a nifty brochure titled, appropriately 'Glorious British Columbia' and this heading summarizes perfectly our view of this beautiful Province. This Fall, we have a truly glorious holiday that features train travel, time in Seattle 'The Emerald City', two full nights in lovely Vancouver at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, sightseeing including a visit to Queen Elizabeth Park with that most Canadian of treats, Afternoon Tea in the Rose Garden, two nights in the alpine mountain resort of Whistler and a visit to Victoria, BC. Nicest of all, our guests will travel from Vancouver to Whistler over the British Columbia Railway aboard the new Whistler Mountaineer passenger train, the first train over this route in many years, enjoying a journey of stunning beauty past Howe Sound and Britannia Falls in comfort with big-window coaches, an open-air observation platform and much more, a stylish way to arrive in Whistler.

In fact, stylish touches abound on this holiday, from our welcome dinner in Vancouver, to our special cocktail party aboard the ms Statendam, to a very special evening in the elegant Pinnacle Grill during our voyage south to San Diego. The holiday begins with a scenic ride to Seattle aboard the Coast Starlight train with an overnight stay at the Warwick Hotel along with plenty of time to enjoy 'The Emerald City'. We then travel north to Vancouver along the Puget Sound aboard the 'Talgo' train, a delightful trip, and in Vancouver, our guests enjoy two-nights at the Hyatt Regency along with a welcome dinner, sightseeing and a visit to Queen Elizabeth Park with Afternoon Tea. Next, we board the Whistler Mountaineer, bound for Whistler on a stunningly beautiful ride to this popular resort destination. With two full days in Whistler, guests have plenty of time to enjoy the European-style cafes, intriguing shops, biking or four of Canada's top-rated golf courses. Saving the best for last, we then board Holland America's ms Statendam at Vancouver for a rare Pacific Coastal voyage south to San Diego, a nice way to sample traditional Ocean travel, with a daytime stop in Victoria, British Columbia en route. Onboard there is as much, or as little to do as you like and we cannot imagine a nicer way to travel home. We have included dinner one evening in the superlative Pinnacle Grill as well as a farewell cocktail party.

Day 1
One-way coach Amtrak travel is included from any California point to Seattle. Guests depart from their closest Amtrak city today for this overnight trip.

Day 2
Evening arrival into Seattle by train where we transfer to the elegant Warwick Hotel for our overnight stay.

Day 3
We depart the hotel this morning and travel to Vancouver aboard Amtrak's special 'Talgo Train'. Upon arrival in Vancouver, we check into the Hyatt Regency for our two-night stay. (B)

Day 4
A special treat awaits this afternoon with complete sightseeing of this spectacular city including Stanley Park, Chinatown, English Bay and Robson Street, before visiting Queen Elizabeth Park where an elegant Afternoon tea awaits. Overnight at the Hyatt Regency. (AT, D)

Day 5
We travel from Vancouver to Whistler aboard the new Whistler Mountaineer, the first passenger train in many years on this route, travelling along Howe Sound and past Britannia Falls to the alpine resort of Whistler, a stunningly beautiful trip. We check into the Hilton Whistler Resort for a two-night stay.

Day 6
Today is at your leisure to enjoy Whistler's variety of optional activities including world-class golf, walking, hiking, and biking.

Day 7
We leave mid-day for Vancouver travelling South along the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway past Shannon Falls. Upon arrival in Vancouver we transfer to the pier for a leisurely embarkation of the ms Statendam to begin our journey to San Diego. We are scheduled to sail at 5:00pm. (D)
