Day 1 - Chicago, the Windy City
Your fall tour begins in America's third largest city, Chicago. Your centrally-located downtown hotel is close to both of the city's airports as well as historic Union Station. Today is at your leisure to explore Chicago's many offerings. Visit one of its renowned museums or shop along the Magnificent Mile. Meet your tour manager in the hotel lobby at 6:00 pm, where you can receive dining suggestions. You'll surely have many choices as Chicago is well-known for its impressive restaurants and delicious global cuisine. Overnight Hilton Palmer House.

Day 2 - Chicago Sightseeing/Journey into Michigan
Begin your day with a guided sightseeing tour of downtown Chicago. Later today, board your motorcoach and depart the big city for your journey into Michigan. Your destination will be Traverse City, known for its sparkling beaches, unique shops and cherry orchards. Overnight Days Inn. (D)

Day 3 - Traverse City
Embark on a visit to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The golden dunes stretch along the shores of Lake Michigan for more than 35 miles. On your tour, you will learn about the history and Indian lore of the area. Your sightseeing continues with a visit to the Music House Museum, where you will see a collection of rare antique musical instruments circa 1870 to 1930. The day ends in Sault Ste. Day 4 - Agawa Canyon Autumn Foliage Train
Today's full-day excursion takes you into Canada (passport required) for a scenic rail excursion through Agawa Canyon aboard the Algoma Central Railroad. The journey is especially stunning during autumn foliage season! Be awed by massive rock formations, colorful forests, and peaceful streams and lakes as you wind through the Canyon. Explore the Agawa River and its waterfalls before returning to Sault Ste. Marie. Overnight Holiday Inn Express. (B, L)

Day 5 - Mackinac Island
Step back in time as you journey to Mackinac Island, the car-free island with a summer holiday heritage. Upon arrival tour the island by horse-drawn carriage, ending at The Grand Hotel. Built in 1897, it is the world's largest summer hotel. Overnight The Grand Hotel. (B, D)

Day 6 - Mackinac Island at Your Leisure
The day is yours to explore the quaint shops and beautiful coastline of this lovely island steeped in history. You may wish to visit Fort Mackinac, rent bikes for a ride around the island, sample some of the island's world-famous fudge, or stroll through the impeccably landscaped gardens of your hotel. Day 7 - Frankenmuth, Michigan's Little Bavaria
Prepare to step into a Bavarian wonderland as you journey to Frankenmuth today. Stroll over Holz-Brucke, a replica of a 19th-century covered bridge, and visit the charming Bavarian-style shops that line the streets. Day 8 - Return to Chicago
