Start your journey in Seattle where you will board the Great Western Limited for your passage alongside Puget Sound to Glacier National Park. Guests will enjoy travel aboard this Vista-Dome Streamliner with a choice of Pullman sleeping car accommodations, all with private facilities. Onboard, there is an inviting dining and lounge area, and meals are freshly prepared onboard by a skilled chef. All meals, wines and spirits while on the train are included.
At Glacier National Park. we have included the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road aboard the famed open-air Jammer buses. From Glacier, cross the border to Canada's Waterton Lakes National Park a charming village considered a highlight of a trip to Alberta. Begin your journey to Banff in the morning, with a special excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump museum.
Once in Banff, your sightseeing includes visits to Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Yoho National Park and more! You have ample time at leisure to fully enjoy this unbelievable mountain setting. Your trip comes to an end as you transfer to Calgary for your flight home.

Day 1 - All Aboard!
We board the Great Western Limited in Seattle late this afternoon and are soon running alongside Puget Sound during our welcome reception, a nice beginning to a refined holiday. Later today, we cross the Cascades while enjoying an elegant welcome dinner. Tonight is spent aboard as we roll east over the Burlington Northern Railroad. (R, D)
Day 2 - Overnight Whitefish
Today is a special treat. Disembark the train for breakfast in Whitefish before traveling into Glacier National Park for a boat cruise on stunning Lake McDonald, a glorious way to take in the high peaks of Glacier National Park. Later today, enjoy the finest resort in Northern Montana, the Four-Diamond rated Lodge at Whitefish Lake. (B)
Day 3 - Waterton Lake National Park
Enjoy spectacular sightseeing today in Glacier National Park including the fabled Going-to-the- Sun Highway over the Continental Divide aboard an iconic red open-air Jammer bus, a stunning journey. Later today, we enter Canada and overnight at the historic Prince of Wales Lodge at Waterton Lake, one of the most photographed sites in North America. (B)
Day 4 - Head Smashed-In Buffalo Jump/Banff
We depart Waterton this morning with a stop in fascinating Head Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, while en route to Banff. Later today, we arrive in Banff and begin our four night stay in the heart of Banff village at the Banff Park Lodge. (B, L)
Day 5 - Banff National Park
Today is a full day to enjoy Banff beginning with a gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain followed by a visit to the famed Banff Hot Springs. Later tonight is our welcome dinner with the rest of the evening at leisure at the Banff Park Lodge in Banff. (B, D)
Day 6 - Lake Louise Excursion
A day of stunning beauty awaits as we travel to Lake Louise with time to visit fabled Chateau Lake Louise, one of the most photographed lakes in the world. We also visit Moraine Lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks and have the afternoon and evening at leisure. A visit to the Cave & Basin museum is highty recommended! (B)
Day 7 - Banff at Leisure
You have a final full day to enjoy Banff. It's a fine time to visit the nearby Whyte Museum for a view of historic Banff and its beginnings, the superb Banff Center for the Arts or river rafting on the Bow River. Tonight is our Farewell dinner with time for an evening stroll through Cascade Gardens, a delightful farewell to this magical village. (B, D)
Day 8 - Welcome Home!
A morning transfer brings us to Calgary airport by 11:00am where easy connections can be made for all U.S. points.(B)

Train and Hotel Accommodations
TheGreat Western Limitedfeatures three lovingly restored privately owned rail cars from the golden era of Streamliner travel with the widest array of sleeping accommodations of any train in the country. We have cozy Double bedrooms, Superior Double bedrooms, Single bedrooms and suites, with double bed with two windows, two lower beds and maximum space. All room types provide comfortable beds, abundant pillows and nightly turn-down service. There is a an inviting lounge and dining area for relaxing in and all meals are prepared freshly on board by a chef and served on tables graced with red roses.

Standard Double Bedroom
One large room with upper and lower berths and private enclosed bathroom with toilet and washbasin. Perfect for couples traveling together.
Superior Double Bedroom
Same as Standard Double Bedroom except instead of two armchairs, features large sofa by day. These rooms are also slightly larger in length.
Suite Accommodations on Train
Two Double Bedrooms combined to guarantee two lower beds or a large queen bed. Includes two picture windows, and two separate bathrooms with washbasins and toilets! Suite availability is very limited. Approximate suite size is 14' x 7'.
Two individual single rooms offering individual lower beds, Individual washbasin and toilets in each room. Perfect for friends traveling together.
