Embark on a 13-day escorted rail vacation through Canada. The tour begins with an overnight in Niagara Falls before moving north to the cosmopolitan city of Toronto. Take time to discover all of the hidden treasures of Toronto before boarding VIA Rail's Canadian bound for Jasper.
We spend three nights aboard the train en route to Jasper National Park. After an overnight, we take the legendary Icefield Parkway to Banff. Spend the next few days discovering this amazing resort town, including a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain, a trip to Yoho National Park and time in beautiful Lake Louise.
From Banff, the Canadian continues its westerly journey to historic Vancouver, the final stop on our exciting panoramic tour of Canada.

Day 1 - Niagara Falls
Arrive in Niagara Falls and check into the Sheraton on the Falls on the Canadian side of the border and take in the views of the falls with the evening at your leisure. Overnight Niagara Falls.
Day 2 - Toronto
Before your transfer to Toronto this morning, experience the majesty of Niagara Falls aboard a hornblower boat tour, and then along the way stop in historic Niagara on the Lake. Arrive in Toronto this afternoon and settle into the Westin Harbour Castle hotel, then take some time to explore this beautiful city, highlighted by a group Welcome Dinner at the acclaimed Canyon Creek Grill. Day 3 - VIA Rail's Canadian
Depart the hotel in the afternoon and board The Canadian, a perfect 1950s time capsule with the legendary Vista-Dome cars, an authentic, stylish dining car and acclaimed fine dining and impeccable service. Join your fellow travelers for cocktails in the swank Bullet Lounge at the end of the train before a Welcome Aboard dinner in art deco surroundings. Overnight The Canadian. (B, D)
Day 4 - VIA Rail West to Jasper
Spend the day crossing the Canadian prairies aboard The Canadian. Civilized amenities abound including hot showers, your special First Class lounge, and the best dining on any train in North America. Day 6 - Jasper National Park
After lunch, The Canadian begins its ascent of the eastern slope of the Rockies. In the afternoon, arrive in gorgeous Jasper, transfer to Marmot Lodge for your one night stay in this magical and unspoiled hamlet and spend the evening relaxing in this glorious setting. Overnight Jasper. (B, L)
Day 7 - Jasper / Banff
Enjoy a stunning day of sightseeing as you travel to Banff via the Columbia Icefields Parkway and ride on Athabasca Glacier on a snow coach. Stop for lunch before your arrival in Banff for an indulgent four-night stay in the heart of the Canadian Rockies at the mountainside Rimrock Resort overlooking the Bow River. Overnight Banff. (B)
Day 8 - Banff National Park
Begin your day with a gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain followed by a visit to the Banff Hot Springs have made this village famous. Tonight, enjoy your special group dinner at the Rimrock Resort’s elegant Primrose Dining Room. Overnight Banff. (B, D)
Day 9 - Explore Banff
Start another magical day in the Canadian Rockies with a tour to Yoho National Park, Bridal Veil Falls and Moraine Lake and a Lakeside Brunch at the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise with a view of a Caribbean-blue alpine lake. Day 10 - Banff at Leisure
Follow your passions today in Banff, with the entire day at your leisure. Hike to Bow River Falls, enjoy afternoon tea with a view overlooking the town at the chateau-like Banff Springs hotel, visit a cave fed by hot springs or learn the history of the area at the extraordinary Whyte Museum. Day 11 - Depart for Vancouver
Travel the Icefields Parkway to Peyto Lake and Sunwapta Falls before arriving in Jasper for a special lunch before boarding The Canadian once again for a memorable journey through the Canadian Rockies, and fantastic views from the Vista-Dome cars. Day 12 - Vancouver
Savor breakfast on The Canadian before arriving in Vancouver and a brief city sightseeing tour with the rest of the day at your leisure. Browse Robson Street’s boutiques and stroll famous Stanley Park. There’s even time to take a day trip by ferry to the decidedly British charms of Victoria.
