Experience the beauty of the Pacific Coast on this 18-day rail-cruise journey that takes you to two of the world's most majestic National Parks. Your journey starts in San Francisco where you will have the first day to explore the City by the Bay at leisure. Make sure to visit popular highlights like the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf and Lombard Street. If you get a chance, make sure to hop on one of the city's classic cable cars! From San Francisco, venture to beautiful Yosemite National Park. Known for its dazzling waterfalls, Yosemite is full of awe-inspiring scenery such as El Capitan, Yosemite Falls and Inspiration Point. You'll even have a chance to hike in the park's evergreen forest.
Following your visit to Yosemite, board Amtrak's renowned Coast Starlight to Seattle, where you will have a chance to explore the Emerald City. Take a ride a double-decker bus "hop on, hop off" tour to explore the sites of Seattle. Along the ride visit famous attractions like Pike Place Market and Seattle's Waterfront. After your visit to Seattle travel by train to Vancouver, where you will board the ms Westerdam for your 7-day cruise of Alaska's Inside Passage. Among your ports of call visit Alaska's capital city of Juneau, where you can visit the Juneau Icefield and embark on a shore excursion. You also will visit Glacier Bay, which is home to 16 glaciers.
Upon disembarking the ms Westerdam make your way to Denali National Park where you will have 3 days to explore. Have the opportunity to witness Mt. McKinley up close and personal on the guided Denali Tundra Wilderness tour which takes you 60 miles into the park, and is the ideal way to observe the unique wildlife that live in the park. Your tour concludes with a journey along Alaska's countryside aboard the McKinley Explorer to Anchorage. This tour is even more exceptional in that it comes to an end in Alaska.

Day 1 - Arrive San FranciscoArrive in San Francisco and check in to your centrally-located hotel. The day is yours to explore the City by the Bay with iconic sights like the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, Ghirardelli Square and Fisherman's Wharf. Overnight San Francisco.
Day 2 - Yosemite National ParkExplore beautiful Yosemite National Park on a full-day excursion to Yosemite Valley and the Giant Sequoias. Highlights include El Capitan, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls and Inspiration Point plus a drive to a lesser-traveled part of the Park for the chance to hike in the evergreen forest. Day 3 - Coast Starlight to SeattleSpend the day touring San Francisco at your leisure before your 9:25 pm train ride aboard Amtrak's Coast Starlight to Seattle. Overnight train.
Day 4 - Arrive SeattleSpend the day aboard the train socializing with other passengers, reading or taking in the beautiful views of the Pacific coastline. The Coast Starlight is scheduled to arrive in Seattle around 8:45 pm. Overnight Seattle.
Day 5 - Explore SeattleSpend the day exploring the Emerald City with the Hop on/Hop Off Bus tour. Discover Seattle’s most popular sights and attractions, from the Puget Sound waterfront to the Space Needle and virtually everything in between! With fourteen stops along the way, hop on and off the double decker bus and fully explore one of America’s most vibrant cities. Overnight Seattle.
Day 6 - Board Cascades to VancouverRise and shine for your 7:40 am departure aboard Amtrak's Cascades toward Vancouver. Arrive in the cosmopolitan Canadian city at 11:40 am with the remainder of your day at leisure to explore the Gateway to Alaska. Overnight Vancouver.
Day 7 - for AlaskaBegin your 12-day Alaskan adventure when you transfer on your own to Canada Place and board the ms Westerdam. Spend time meeting fellow passengers, explore the ship or take time to bask in the gorgeous scenery with two days at sea. Overnight ship. (B, L, D)

Day10 - Juneau, AlaskaToday's port of call is Juneau, Alaska's capital city. It is home to the Juneau Icefield. Embark on an exciting shore excursion or take advantage of an abundance of shopping opportunities. Overnight ship. (B, L, D)
Day 11 - Skagway, AlaskaStep back to the days of the last great gold rush in the historic Alaskan city of Skagway. Overnight ship. (B, L, D)
Day 12 - Glacier BayThe port of call today is beautiful Glacier Bay, located in southeastern Alaska. Glacier Bay is famous for having the most actively calving tidewater glaciers in the world-the area has 16 glaciers, 12 of which reach shorelines and have calved to produce icebergs. Overnight ship. Day 13 - At SeaSpend the day at sea as you sail through the Gulf of Alaska en route to Seward, Alaska. Keep a look out for whales and other marine wildlife. Overnight ship. (B, L, D)
Day 14 - Seward/ DenaliArrive in Seward, Alaska around 8:00 am. Disembark the ship and transfer to Denali National Park. You'll arrive around 5:30 pm. Check into your hotel with your evening at leisure. Overnight Denali National Park.
Day 15 - Denali National ParkExplore Denali National Park like you never thought possible with the Denali Tundra Wilderness Tour. This unique tour takes you 60 miles into the park, increasing your chance to see incredible wildlife as well as majestic Mt. McKinley up close and personal. Overnight Denali National Park.
Day 16 - Denali National ParkThe day is yours to explore Denali at your leisure. Take in the gorgeous mountains, beautiful terrain and see if you can find the vast abundance of wildlife that inhabit the park such as a moose or a goat. Overnight Denali National Park.
Day 17 - McKinley Explorer to AnchorageYour time in Denali comes to an end as you board the McKinley Explorer at 12:15 pm. In this opened dome railcar you will be able to see the gorgeous Alaskan landscape in a completely unique way as you travel to Anchorage. You're scheduled to arrive at 8:15 pm with the remainder of your evening at leisure. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 18 - Tour ends in AnchorageYour journey comes to a close this morning as you check out of your hotel and are transported to the airport as you fly home out of Anchorage.
Amtrak accommodations include a Roomette and all meals on the train. Upgrade to Bedroom sleeping accommodations is available for an additional fee. Travel aboard the ms Westerdam is in an Oceanview Stateroom including two lower beds convertible to one Queen-size bed, bathtub, and shower.
