About the tour

Feel the rousing beat of bagpipes and drums while soaking in the essence of Scotland on this trip based out of the Perthshire Highlands. Your base for this journey is the ancient town of Dunkeld, "the Fort of the Celts," whose fantastic positioning offers endless adventures throughout the Highland region. Admire the scenery of Loch Tummel from the Queen's View, named for Queen Victoria, and free time in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, known for its lively theater community and Victorian architecture. A highlight of this trip comes as we venture to Edinburgh's imposing hilltop fortress for a thrilling presentation of the Edinburgh Tattoo. Also near Dunkeld, we join the Strathspey Steam Train for a ride back to the Golden Age of rail travel on the original Highland Railway Line. Of course, tasting authentic Scotch Whisky at a 125-year-old distillery in Dalwhinnie, a quaint town nestled along the fringe of Cairngorm National Park, is also an experience for the books. Short, sweet, and brimming with Scottish spirit, this inviting getaway to the Highlands is sure to leave a lasting impression.
