Your vacation in the Land Down Under begins today as you arrive in Sydney and are transferred to your hotel. Choose from our four-star and five-star hotels on a B&B basis. Afterward, this iconic harbor city welcomes you into its embrace with its famous landmarks like the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Sydney is a modern, cosmopolitan city with new trendy bars and boutique shops and a beach life that fosters an ideal environment for relaxation, surf lessons and sunbathing.

Today, a Sydney Opera House Tour, operated by the Sydney Opera House Trust, opens your eyes to the history of this iconic attraction. As the most famous building in the city, perhaps in all of Australia, the Opera House is as significant as it is fascinating. Step beneath those famous sails, and you'll instantly understand what makes it so special. As you explore, learn the history of the building and its architecture, and hear stories about performances and the artists while visiting the performance spaces and theaters.

Day 3 – Exploring Sydney

Exploring Sydney

The morning is yours to continue getting acquainted with this picturesque city, perhaps while checking out some Sydney's cool cafés. Take a stroll along the harbor, or relax on one of Sydney's beaches. Discover the city on foot, and find intriguing destinations at every turn.

This afternoon, a Small-group Panoramic Syndey City Tour visits the historic Rocks area, the Central Business District and Macquarie Street, and Mrs. Macquarie's Point to enjoy views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. From here, move on to Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, home to the rich and famous, and then pass through areas such as Kings Cross, Double Bay, Rose Bay and Watsons Bay. Travel to famous Bondi Beach for a 30-minute stop, then wrap up the tour at Tamarama and Bronte beaches.

Day 4 – The Indian Pacific

Today, a transfer takes you from your hotel to the luxurious Indian Pacific Train for a three-night journey across Australia. Prepare for a mesmerizing route filled with views of lush vineyards, vast goldmines, majestic mountains, the barren expanse of the Nullarbor, cities of four million inhabitants, and ghost towns of just four.

As the train travels through the Blue Mountains, explore life onboard the train. After settling into your accommodation, you can savor your first meal, a regionally-inspired dinner paired with fine wines. After dinner, join your fellow guests for a drink or head back to your cabin to cozy up for a night on the rails.

The Indian Pacific arrives in Broken Hill this morning, known as "the silver city." Here, you'll discover the mining history and artistic culture of this unique town, which is known for its wide streets with a pub on every corner.

Lunch is served onboard as the train enters the southern tip of the spectacular and ancient Flinders Ranges, and in the afternoon, the Indian Pacific arrives in the city of Adelaide. Disembarking here, you can tour the city, visit the world-famous Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale wine regions, or take a trip to the Adelaide Hills and experience the culinary delights of Hahndorf. Return to the train after your chosen excursion for another relaxing evening on the train.

Day 6 – The Nullarbor Plains

The Nullarbor Plains

Wake to the vast beauty of the Nullarbor Plain drifting by your window this morning. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as you travel along the longest stretch of straight railway track in the world, taking in the incredible views. In the evening, depending on the weather, you can enjoy dinner under the desert's starry skies in the remote and beautiful Rawlinna.

The Avon Valley & Perth

Day 7 – The Avon Valley & Perth

The Avon Valley & Perth

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast onboard this morning as the Indian Pacific weaves through the green vales of the Avon Valley, following the final miles of the route to Perth. The train pulls into the station in Perth after you've enjoyed an onboard lunch, and from the train station, you will be transferred to your hotel. Choose from our four-star and five-star hotels on a B&B basis.

The remainder of the day is yours to get acquainted with the capital of Western Australia. This relaxed city is awash in beautiful, sunny beaches, vibrant art, and fantastic culture, giving you much to explore during your free evening.

Perth & Rottnest Island

Days 8 & 9 – Perth & Rottnest Island

Perth & Rottnest Island

Enjoy two days in Perth to delve into the soul of this revitalized city - now vibrant with a busy arts and culture scene. During your free time, walk around the city, and you'll see urban art next to new openings of trendy eateries and bars. Visit a museum to better understand the city's history or learn about the region's aboriginal origins, or visit a modern art gallery.

Your time in Perth also includes an excursion to Rottnest Island. Get an insight into the island's cultural and historical heritage, diverse wildlife, fauna and social heritage, and enjoy the afternoon exploring the island at your own pace. Make your way to Pier 4 Elizabeth Quay Perth Barrack Street Jetty in the morning and depart on the Rottnest Express ferry to Rottnest Island. This 90-minute tour takes you to some of Rottnest's most spectacular locations and provides a complete interpretation of the island. You'll depart Rottnest Island on a Rottnest ferry, taking you back to Barrack Street Jetty, Perth, for a free evening.

Day 10 – Tour conclusion

Having explored two seaside cities, each with their own splendors, and crossed the Australian continent surrounded by the sumptuous environment of the Indian Pacific train, your incredible journey comes to a close. An included transfer takes you from your hotel to Perth Airport for your overnight flight back home.
