Here we see the iconic Leaning Tower, and the marvelous white marble Duomo, one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture, with sublime Moorish mosaics.

We signed up for what we were informed was a 15 people tour. There were 25+ in our group. We were informed we would be touring places (ie: the Colliseum). We only walked outside these places and did not have tickets to go inside. The tour guide to the Vatican was rude, misleading and used profanity. We road on second class trains not first class as had been described. The first two hotels were not as described and the one in Florence was a low rate hotel with a tiny room and not anything like what had been described. The breakfasts were in general not good and the first dinner was terrible and not a reflection of Italy dining. We had plenty of downtime, yet we had to rush through sites. It was not worth the money we spent. We could have done better on our own.
