About the tour
Watch as the warm hues of autumn overtake the landscape on this 8-day guided journey through New England. The tour begins as the group discovers the Colonial history of Boston. From Boston, we travel out of the city and into some of the best places for fall foliage viewing in all of the United States. The first stop is North Conway, where we will travel down the Kancamagus Highway and take a mid-day journey on the Conway Scenic Railroad. Next, it is a ride on the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. From there we head to Vermont where we board Amtrak's Vermonter. In Mystic, we will visit the nation's most impressive maritime museum, Mystic Seaport. Moving on, a Newport Mansion and all of the sites of Hyannis lie ahead. The group will enjoy one final train ride aboard the Cape Cod Central Railway before the journey concludes in Boston. With dinners that immerse us in the culture of New England, amazing sightseeing opportunities and ample time to explore on your own, as well as with the group, this fall foliage adventure is second to none.

We had a wonderful tour, with a friendly and efficient guide, great driver, and even terrific weather for the majority of the time. Linda Doner managed our group seating on the coach in a way that helped to foster better interaction among the members.

I felt the title was a bit deceiving, most of the trip was done on a bus not a rail, although the bus ride was comfortable and enjoyable. Dawn and Debbie were great! Hilton Park Plazawas the worst hotel, the rest were great! The dinners provided were good, except not enough deserts! (they ran out). We enjoyed the trip!

We had a wonderful time. Dawn was fantastic - truly appreciated the evening text RE: schedule for the next day. I know it is difficult to meet everyone's expectation. The two events that I wish I had a little more time to enjoy were: Quincy Market and the Breakers. The last minute visit to Goodrich's Maple Farm was well worth it. Dawn an our Bus Driver Deb complemented each other and kept us entertained with history and humor. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.
