About the tour

Watch as the warm hues of autumn overtake the landscape on this 8-day guided journey through New England. The tour begins as the group discovers the Colonial history of Boston. From Boston, we travel out of the city and into some of the best places for fall foliage viewing in all of the United States. The first stop is North Conway, where we will travel down the Kancamagus Highway and take a mid-day journey on the Conway Scenic Railroad. Next, it is a ride on the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. From there we head to Vermont where we board Amtrak's Vermonter. In Mystic, we will visit the nation's most impressive maritime museum, Mystic Seaport. Moving on, a Newport Mansion and all of the sites of Hyannis lie ahead. The group will enjoy one final train ride aboard the Cape Cod Central Railway before the journey concludes in Boston. With dinners that immerse us in the culture of New England, amazing sightseeing opportunities and ample time to explore on your own, as well as with the group, this fall foliage adventure is second to none.

Exploring by train the romantic countryside painted with green fields, covered bridges, quaint running streams, and enchantingly fiery foliage. This trip had been in my manifestation journal for years, and it DELIVERS. Our trip was the week of October 8-15, 2023 and the foliage was PEAK! The whole trip is jam packed with activities, you really feel you're getting the most out of your experience and the best of New England because you're jumping from spot to spot. Mary Reed our guide was so considerate, always cautioning us what few activities could possibly pose a challenge to those with mobility issues, which most did very well with and had a great experience regardless. Mary was great, making sure we were all on schedule, pointed out remarkable sights, and made the experience informational, fun, humorous, and full of great surprises. Our driver Tom from Brown Coach was so great and personable. We were traveling by motor coach the whole trip, taking us from hotel to train and train to hotel, each train ride lasting 2-3 hours. We had a seat rotation to make sure there is no fighting for the "best seat". Tips: - Italian food in Boston Day 1 (we had Famiglia Di Gorgio, Incredible!) - I found the most unique shopping was in Mystic, Ct. Make time to roam around in it. - Wear really good walking shoes - Bring gloves, a warm hat, and extra layers for day 4 as you go on the Mt. Washington train. - Bring lots of vitamin D and C to maintain your health, everyone was sniffling and sneezing by the end

Great trip to New England. Got to see some of the fall foliage, covered bridges and visit a maple syrup farm, which was on my bucket list. Mary Reed our tour director was fantastic. She was very organized and informative. She had all of our tickets at the ready. Tom the bus driver was beyond fantastic. I would not hesitate to do this trip again with both Mary and Tom. My only change would be to give the patrons a choice of touring a mansion or shopping in Newport Rhode Island. Overall a fantastic trip

Great trip. Jennifer was a great tour guide. Bus and all but the Cape Cod train trips were great. Food provided was not the best and when left on our own it could be difficult to find places to eat.
