Day 1 - Denver to Glenwood Springs
Arrive at Denver’s train station, where your train, the Rocky Mountaineer, awaits to escort you through the rugged landscape to Glenwood Springs. This luxury train makes sightseeing a priority and offers the chance to soak in the scenery from either the domed-glass sightseeing car or from open-air viewing pavilions. The natural beauty of Colorado envelopes the tracks as we travel deeper into the Rockies, passing through the Big Ten Curve, navigating past canyons and venturing through valleys. Take a break from gazing upon the landscape, and enjoy conversation and a delicious, chef-prepared lunch in the dining car. The train crosses the Continental Divide and passes the Colorado River before arriving in Glenwood Springs. Day 2 - Glenwood Springs to Moab
Join the Rocky Mountaineer this morning to continue on your journey toward Moab, UT. The route today continues past famed mountain peaks and through Ruby Canyon on the Colorado-Utah border before the landscape changes once again and becomes more arid. Warm red hues overtake the scenery, and naturally carved sandstone rock formations come into view. As the train arrives in Moab - your gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks - this memorable adventure through the Rockies and Red Rocks concludes. (B)
