The trip was good until we left Quebec City. The train ride from there was horrible! Short staffed and not enough room for people to go to. Sleeper rooms were tiny and crowded!

The Via Rail trip from Vancouver to Quebec City was excellent. It was pleasant & comfortable with good meals and we enjoyed it very much. We were less happy with the second leg of our trip from Quebec City to Halifax as the train was small & cramped, the food was quite awful and we could not wait to leave the train.

Very well organised, we knew where we had to be and at what time. The vouchers had all the necessary information needed, for example, when 24 hours were required to confirm tours etc. The hotels we stayed in were all of a high standard and in good locations to be able to get around the city.

Vacations by Rail did a great job organizing everything and making our trip both fun and hassle-free. There were no glitches or unpleasant surprises! The train was terrific and we had no problems using the vouchers for all of the various activities, hotels, and transportation. Documents provided were clear and accurate. Great job, great trip!

Staff, especially those on the first leg of the Canadian, were outstanding. The people were great. A couple of long delays detracted from the trip and kept us from seeing what I think would have been great views if we had gone through these locations at the intended times. Food and the dining staff were consistently excellent. Our fellow travelers on the Canadian were a great group, adding to the trip. Accommodations on the Ocean seemed older and more cramped. This was a fun way to see a country and stop at some of its largest cities. This being our first extended train trip, it was a good experience and it met our expectations.
