Great trip down to CA. Lots of interesting new people to meet and a very friendly service crew. The trip back was a bit disappointing. Crew was not as friendly and the service was mediocre.

Nasty bathrooms, overpriced microwave food. Very bad communication when train was blocked. People standing in cold fit hours with no food or drink while waiting for bus that never came.Five hour delay

Wonderful trip! Only disappointment was the lack of coastline. The service and staff did an excellent job! Crew 8 was fantastic!

1377 miles from Seattle to L.A. We had a sleeper room and nice large window. It was so relaxing watching the towns go by. Our room was clean, the staff helpful and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious.

Vacations by Rail was great to deal with. Our travel advisor was Suzanne who was both personable & knowledgeable. Our issues were not with Vacations, but rather with Amtrak. We did 2 trips back to back, which included hotel stays. The hotels were high end & wonderful. We would not hesitate to deal with V by R again, & have already recommended them.
