Highlights

What’s included

Itinerary

Day 1 - Amtrak’s Maple Leaf to Niagara Falls

Board Amtrak's Maple Leaf at New York's Penn Station this morning and settle in for your trip north. Enjoy the amenities of Coach Class, or choose to upgrade to Business Class at an additional cost. Travel through the lovely scenery of upstate New York as you make your way to Niagara Falls. Overnight Niagara Falls.

Day 2 - Tour Niagara Falls With Your Niagara Falls Pass

Your included Niagara Falls Pass is your ticket to experiencing all the joys of this worldly wonder. The pass includes admission to five attractions plus 2-day access to the Falls Incline Railway and WEGO in-park bus. The WEGO in-park bus offers a hop-on/hop off service that connects Niagara Falls with other popular tourist areas in the city. Highlights of the included attractions are the Journey Behind the Falls that ventures 150 feet below ground to tunnels that lead to observation spots at the foot of the Falls; soar the Great Gorge in an antique cable car over the Niagara Whirlpool. Additionally, you can watch an interactive show, Niagara's Fury, stroll along the White Water Walk to see the park's rushing Class 6 Whirlpool Rapids, and head to the Niagara Parks Power Station + Tunnel that takes you through immersive exhibits and a 2,200-foot-long tunnel with an observation deck at the river's edge.  In between all the attractions of your Niagara Falls pass, take a ride on The Hornblower for a spectacular cruise that takes you as close to the rushing waters as possible. Overnight Niagara Falls.

Day 3 - Continue Sightseeing at Niagara Falls

The day is yours to continue soaking in the natural grandeur of Niagara Falls. All the amenities of the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass and WEGO bus access are still available for your use. Of course, you are welcome to join one of the following optional activities or excursions to enhance your time here:

  • Ride the Niagara SkyWheel - Step aboard a fully enclosed, climate-controlled gondola to soar 175 feet above the falls. Your ride aboard the Niagara SkyWheel includes eight to 12 minutes of incredible scenery, with the views from the top spanning miles over the falls on both the American and Canadian sides of the park and the surrounding cities and landscapes.
  • Take a Niagara Falls Helicopter Flight - Gain a fantastic perspective on American, Bridal Veil, and Canadian Horseshoe Falls from above while on this heart-pounding tour. Enjoy the thrill of a lifetime while looking over the natural wonder and many surrounding landmarks, such as the Whirlpool Rapids and Niagara River.
  • Join a Wine Country Sightseeing Tour From Niagara - The region surrounding Niagara Falls is home to countless wineries and vineyards, lending it the name the Niagara Wine Trail. Tour a handful of these establishments alongside an expert guide, tasting the delicious wine varietals produced at each.

Overnight Niagara Falls.

Wonderful tour. Had one minor issue. Boat voucher confirmation was incorrect but clerk resolved issue and located my ticket by name.

I enjoyed the trip except we were not given a choice of seating in advance. I was given a rear facing seat. I get sick riding backwards, but there was an empty seat in the back, so therefore my companion and I were unable to sit together.

Trip was great. I would have given this 5 stars; however, our hotel reservation had been cancelled when we arrived. Not sure how this happened. We were lucky enough to get a room; however, we had to pay for the room. Client Services helped us (after the trip) to get a credit for that room. I would definitely take another trip with them again.

Amtrak trains restrooms are filthy and need to be cleaned more often. Your company needs to ensure that hotel rooms are what was requested. More information or explicit directions are needed for the extra events and the choice of foods for Table Rock were not good at all.

It made my first rail trip so easy. From the beginning the staff was very helpful and informative. Every item chosen was great from accommodations to activities. I will book with them for my future rail trips.

The train ride was too long and communication from Amtrak was less than acceptable, especially on the Canadian side. The hotel was nice but the other couple in the party's reservations were somehow cancelled. Luckily the hotel had space but they had to pay for the rooms when they already paid through Vacations by Rail. I don't know what they would have done if there wasn't a room available...:(. Probably will not use them again.
