Irish Railways

Taking you all around every corner of the incredible Emerald Isle is the railway systems of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The majority of the trains that traverse the lines are commuter trains, operated by Iarnród Éireann in the Republic of Ireland, and NIR (Northern Ireland Railways) in the North.

The lines run mainly between the major cities and destinations of the countries. Dublin in the Republic is one of the most well connected cities, with lines that run to Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Sligo to name a few. In the north, most routes run through Belfast, and the main line that takes commuters out of the capital heads to Derry. Of course, the only train route that crosses the boarder of these countries is the Boarder route, running between Belfast and Dublin.

Both Iarnród Éireann trains and NIR trains are standard and comfortable commuter trains, running using diesel locomotives. The carriages for the stock of both companies are comfortable and spacious, with large windows from which to view the incredible beauty of the passing countryside.

Railway journeys through these countries are, understandably, one of the most beautiful in the world. Winding majestically through the incredible and verdant countryside, the trains pass by some truly iconic scenes- from the wild and wonderful west coast of the country, passing down by the turbulent yet lovely Irish Sea, to cutting directly across the glorious panorama, witnessing the unique charm of the lovely 'Emerald Isle'.

And the trains in Ireland are on time and comfortable. Would recommend this product to anyone who wants to...
