THE TRIP WAS WONDERFUL! I wish to compliment the Piaristenkeller in Vienna. Owner Erick E. personally gave us historical tour of his restaurant and the mini museum it houses. Wow! Karen, our guide, for Salzburg walking tour was excellent! The private transfers were quality and our even our final trip to airport ended with another detailed historical explanation of passing architecture and the rulers responsible. My journal records our experiences. It is over 45 pages long. I am happy to recommend Agent Hilary! We will travel again on Vacations By Rail for sure!

The trip itself was absolutely amazing! However, working with Vacations by Rail wasn't easy and I wouldn't book through them again. Lots of unanswered emails/phone calls and I feel like I had to do a lot of babysitting to get our trip. We also feel like we paid for things weren't able to use (even after informing Vacations by Rail with ample time).

The trip was very enjoyable due to Vacations by Rail setting up good hotels and activities along the way. Connections, such as being picked up at the airport and train stations was very helpful; they definitely made the trip enjoyable.
