Hungary
Hungary is bordered by Austria to the west, Slovakia to the
north, Romania to the east and Croatia to the south. Due to its
location, it's a popular travel destination in its own right or in
combination with any of its neighboring countries. The capital city
of Budapest is divided into sides with the Danube River running
through it. The left bank is the Buda side and is where many of the
city's popular attractions can be found; the Pest side is on the
right of the Danube.
A Budapest vacation historic sights such as St. Matthias Church,
a neo-Gothic landmark church with an interior of stained glass
windows and fantastic frescos that rivals the exterior in beauty,
and Fisherman's Bastion, offering fantastic views of the city.
Trains bound for international destinations depart from Budapest's
Nyugati Train Station, which dates back to 1877. The Danube Express
includes Budapest as a hub for many of its Budapest vacations
including the extensive Istanbul to Prague itinerary and shorter
trips like The Transylvanian.
