Lodging, food on the train and the Red Bus Tour were great. Views were wonderful from the train. The roomette was a bit challenging since neither of us had taken one before. Just didn?t know exactly what to expect. Overall, loved the trip.

What fun to travel by rail and see the cascade mountains going and coming back at different times of day. Then the Rockies in Montana on the opposite schedule.

While seated in our roomette, the park ranger announcements were a wonderful way to really explore our surroundings. In addition, when we went up to the observation car, the whole trip seemed to slow down as we felt like we were more in touch with all the wondrous countryside, which, for me, is the real goal of a train trip.

Overall our very first rail vacation was very nice. The only problems we experienced were with the reliability of the train schedule, and with the service (or lack of service) from the room steward on the return trip from East Glacier to Seattle. I must say, however, that the initial portion of our trip from Seattle to East Glacier was absolutely perfect - particularly the service we received from our steward, Curtis. He was AWESOME!
