“The ride was as comfortable as it could be for the space confinement of a train. We got the roomette which was well worth the upgrade over coach. All meals were included and you can lay down to sleep. There is a private cabin available for quite a bit more money where there is a sink and private toilet/shower. It’s nice to let someone else do the driving while you just sit and look at the scenery or rest.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the rail trip: Food was excellent, sleeping in a Roomette (although a challenge) was quite nice. The rooms at both Lodges were wonderful, as were the two tours included in the itinerary (boat trip on St. Mary Lake, and Run to the Sun). Both narrators on the tours were great especially Jammie Rick. Our first car attendant, Robin was excellent, paying several visits to assure all was OK. The second, Isaac, was not as solicitous.
He seemed adequate in his duties, just not as friendly.
We both said we would do this type of trip again.
