About the tour

In a country as scenic as Switzerland, it is no wonder that scenic railways abound. Soak in the breathtaking scenery from four fantastic lines on this unforgettable vacation based out of Tiefencastel in the gorgeous Albula Valley. Ride the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Albula Line to St. Moritz, venture past dramatic peaks and glistening lakes en route to Tirano, Italy, aboard the Bernina Express, and enjoy views of Lake Obersee from the Arosa Line. All these railways build anticipation for the crowning jewel of this vacation: a journey to Brig on the "world's slowest express train," the Glacier Express. At the end of each line, quintessential towns welcome you to enjoy the Swiss Alps.

Before visiting Switzerland, enjoy a free morning in Strasbourg, France, which has switched hands between the French and the Germans several times. The heritage of both is evident in the architecture, lands, and artwork found throughout the city. From here, continue to Tiefencastel, Switzerland, your lovely base. From here, embark on day trips to refreshing destinations with ample free time to soak in the wonders of Switzerland. Enjoy the immense history and traditional architecture. Marvel at sweeping views over snow-capped peaks and wide-stretching valleys. Museums, cathedrals, and attractions large and small invite your exploration. Even better, with your Swiss Travel Card in hand, you are free to explore at leisure in the destinations surrounding Tiefencastel. Panoramic views and unforgettable adventures await.
