Our previous trip to Italy last year was almost flawless. On this trip there were several glitches with the vendor concerning transports from the airport to the hotel and location of the drivers upon arrival to some of the destinations. The excursions were fantastic, the guides were superior. It also took a great deal of time getting the itinerary with VBR finalized due to some details that were incorrect or missing. More work than I was comfortable with.

So disappointed. Communication was awful. “Small group excursions” of six to eight passengers turned out to be 30 plus people on huge diesel spewing busses. Transfers were cancelled with no warning. We paid almost $180 per night extra ($1800 total) for ten nights upgraded hotel rooms; below is picture of “upgraded” hotel room in Seville. VBR blames the Spanish vendors, the Spanish vendors blame VBR. We’ve taken two other recent trips with VBR to Alaska and Italy that were great. They really failed on this one.

The organization of this tour was flawless. All of the accommodations and services were high quality. Prior to our trip we had lots of questions, and every rep we spoke with was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We will definitely use VBR for future trips.
