Trans Canadian Trains
One of the greatest rail adventures in Canada is the
trans-Canada train journey between Toronto and Vancouver. This
four-night passage takes place aboard VIA Rail's Canadian, the premier trans Canada
rail line, which showcases the country's changing landscapes as it
makes its journey. Travel from the rugged reaches of the Pacific
Coast, through coastal rainforests and lush mountains, and into
grasslands and verdant river valleys before the rugged peaks of the
Canadian Rockies
envelop the scenery. Continuing West, venture through cities like
Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg, and marvel at the primordial
forests and lakes of the Canadian Shield. With all these views in
memory, the train arrives in Canada's largest city, Toronto. VIA
Rail's Canadian also runs from Toronto to Vancouver.
Our collection of trans-Canada rail journeys embraces every
season, revealing the tranquility of a Canadian
winter and the colorful hues that embellish the landscape
during spring, summer and fall. Witness beloved sites, from
Vancouver's Stanley Park to Banff's Lake Louise and Niagara Falls
outside Toronto, and find inspiration in every mile.
