Arches National Park
Crossing the landscape like a movie set, Arches is one of the Southwest's most
beautiful and popular national parks. With the world's largest
concentration of sandstone arches, the burnished red rocks look
otherworldly when illuminated by the sun. Across its 119 square
miles, some of the most remarkable sights include Landscape Arch
and Delicate Arch - the latter included on Utah's license
plates.
Scenic Drives: Winding 18 miles through Arches
National Park, the only paved road passes many impressive sights,
including Balanced Rock and The Windows, en route to the Devil's
Garden Trail. It's a great way to see the highlights of the park
without pulling on those hiking boots.
Stargazing Under Dark Skies: Heading out early
or late not only means fewer crowds and cooler temperatures, but it
also provides an unforgettable opportunity to marvel at a sky full
of stars. If you time it well, a sunrise or moonlight exploration
adds an extra sprinkle of magic.
