Amtrak roundtrip rail vacations in the U.S. can travel west from Chicago and over the Colorado Rockies to Salt Lake City and San Francisco aboard the California Zephyr. The return to the Windy City follows a course through the colorful Southwest aboard the Southwest Chief.
